VALERIE SMITH, CAE
Senior Association Manager

Valerie Smith, CAE, has 14 years of experience in association management plus 13 years of experience working with a marketing agency. Prior to joining the NCG team in Dec 2023, she was the Executive Director of the Georgia Chiropractic Association and Vice President of O’Neill Communications. Valerie thrives on helping associations create and implement strategic plans to increase their reach and effectiveness.

Valerie is a proud member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Past Chair of the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) Board of Directors. She also served as secretary of her neighborhood’s swim and tennis club. She is the 2016 recipient of GSAE’s Skelton-Massey Award.

Valerie has a master’s degree in communication and a bachelor’s degree in corporate journalism, both from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and she attained her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2017.

Valerie’s expertise is in strategic planning and budgeting, governance, meeting planning, marketing and communications. When she’s not busy helping associations thrive, she enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking and watching movies.
